I'm Dreaming.....

and wishing....all my presents were wrapped and under the tree!!!

I am pretty much done with my shopping...just little odds and ends for the kids stockings.  Even tho my kids are 27 and 25...they still get their stockings filled!  And I think that's the hardest part...finding things they can use that fit in that small little space!  I usually end up giving them they're favorite candy and scratch off tickets...Liam is the easiest...since he's only 6. But since he's my only grandchild, I usually spoil him rotten!!!

Since I've been on my diet, I haven't really baked all that much this year.  I did make a few cookies last weekend, which are almost gone already!  Since today is my last day of work for the year, I'll be making more next week!

I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope that all your dreams come true!

Pink Nativity!!!

Well, my very first pink nativity set sold on my Etsy site.  

I absolutely loved how it turned out...so I made another one.  The figurines on this one were a little bigger and there weren't as many...but I love this one too!!!

I really enjoy doing these...I'll have to scour the thrift stores to see if I can find more sets...lots of priming and painting...oh and glittering!

I also repurposed some other cute Christmas decor...

My Love for Bottle Brush Trees!!!!

I am so in love with anything that has to do with bottle brush trees...or sometimes, called sisal trees.  I just finished this new addition to my Etsy shop the other day...

I love how it turned out.  I bleached a few trees and now I'm going to try my hand at dying some of them.  We'll see how that turns out!!!  Here are a few crafts that I want to try:

I love those pastel colored ones!  And I have a ton of rhinestone brooches and old jewels that I've been collecting and I know I have some old vintage spools somewhere too!!!  I really need to clean up my crafting area...I might find some neat things I didn't know I even had!

I'm also participating in a Craft Show at Bain Manor in Kenosha...I'll need to put my items together to drop off on Saturday.  If you're in the area, please stop by!  The girls from Lulu Birds (where my jewelry is sold) will be manning our booth there!

Barns...Barns...Pink Barns???

There is nothing more beautiful, in my eyes, than an old barn sitting way off in an empty field...in the winter.

I just love the thought of snuggling in front of a fire...a Christmas tree in the corner, all lit up....sipping a cup of hot coffee...ahhhhh, nothing better!!!

Oh how I want that first barn to be my house!!!!

New Snowman Designs!!!

I'll be the first to admit, I love creating new snowmen!  I've always loved collecting them...and now...creating them!  I found these old brass candlesticks at the thrift store, and I can't tell you why I thought they would be cute as snowmen, but I brought them home with me.

I scuffed them up a little and gave them a light coat of white paint...scuffed them some more and then dressed them up!  Ta da!!!!

This is Penelope!  She stands 9 1/2" tall!!

And here is Dee Dee!  She's 10 1/2" tall!

I'm Dreaming of a "PINK" Christmas!!!

I'm really getting in the Christmas spirit lately...even tho I know it's not even Halloween yet!  I found this the other day...fits what I'm working on to a tee!

I picked up a couple of nativity sets a couple of weeks ago...and painted them both pink.  Ya, Glenn thinks I'm nuts!  But they did turn out pretty good...just have to glitter and seal them and they'll be good to go in the shop!  I also picked up one of those old time bubble gum machines...that will also be painted pink! 

It's kind of hard to see, but this is the beginning of the pink nativity!  There's my pink tree too!!!  I love pink!!!  I'll be sure to post when it's all complete!

Hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather...at least here in the Midwest, it's cool and windy...temps in the 50's!  LOVE IT!!!

Some New Eye Candy!

So, the other night, I couldn't sleep...which, by the way, happens all the time.  I sat down at the table where I bead...and immediately my creativity jumped into high gear!  I love when that happens...so here's the finished products of my insomnia!!

I think this is my favorite bracelet so far....the light pink beads are from a rosary that I got from one of our local churches...just love it!

Again...rosary beads in this one too.  It's kind of hard to see, but the pendant stone is a deep green...very holidayish!!!

I'm so glad my creativity hit...just wish it wasn't at midnight, when I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to get ready for work :)

Now to get these priced and then it's back to the glitter!!!

Welcome Fall...I've Missed You So MUCH!!!

Ahhhh...my favorite time of year...although, I'm pretty partial to Winter too!  And since we live in the Midwest, we get all four seasons!  I noticed as I was driving home from work the other day, that the leaves are definitely starting to change...it's been cooler at night...and I've finally been able to turn off the air conditioner...what a relief to my wallet that is!

I pulled out my fall decorations last weekend and have started lighting my cinnamon scented candles...I could seriously have this season and type of weather all year long!

Welcome to my new Blog...and....My Crafty Glitter Brain!!!

So glad you stopped by!I'm still learning all there is to know about blogging, but my son is a very good teacher!!! I did figure out on my own, how you can “connect with me”...just click my icons to go to my Etsy shop, my Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!!! Speaking of Instagram, I am now hooked...just figured out over the weekend, everything I can see and do on there!!!

This is where I create...kind of a mess, I know!!!  Our condo is very small, and only has two bedrooms.  My grandson has his little toddler bed in the guest room...so that doesn't leave much room in there for crafting.  I have a card table set up in there where I "try" to make my jewelry.  Basically, every inch is covered, even the floor...with beads!

So the picture above is from my dining room table...once Thanksgiving and Christmas rolls around, I have to find places for all the stuff that's covering my work area...sigh!

Without further ado...below is some finished product that gets created above!!! I think my favorite are my Putz inspired houses...they bring back so many memories of when my mom would decorate for the holidays!

I love what I do...I just wish I could do it full time!  My boyfriend, Glenn, was just complaining the other day, that there is glitter everywhere!!!
